A Personal Note
Hello! By the time you get this we will be at Holiday World in
Santa Claus, IN. LOL Sounds like quite the place huh? Should be fun. We are
doing our yearly camping trip with the boys and generally we try to find
somewhere fun. So this year that is it. They have rides, waterslides etc. Last
year it was Indiana Beach, IN So we’ll see which one they like best. Both places
sound similar, so I guess only time will tell.
We had a nice visit with my parents although it seemed to go by so fast! They
stayed four nights. It is so strange to only see our family 4 days a year, but I
guess that is how it goes. I was curious if Dane would remember them. I think he
did as he took to them real quick. He spent quite a bit of time with them when
he was 1, so that probably made an impression. He called Nana “MY Nana”. So
cute.
Today (Sat.) we received a nice big rain storm. We needed the
rain, but unfortunately, that meant the T-ball game was rained out. We were also
supposed to go to our little town parade, but choose not to due to the rain. I
wonder how many people actually went. LOL I feel sorry for everyone who was in
it or who were running booths for the festival. Not fun!
Well, I am pumping out a huge Entertaining Report for Menu
Planning Central, so I am going to run. Have a super week!

Successful Coffee Brewing
Do you like coffee? Do you need a cup of coffee to get your day going? If so,
here are some tips to make coffee brewing easy.
There are many ways to make coffee. Probably the most common way to brew coffee
in the United States it use an auto drip machine. With this method, coffee
grinds are placed in a paper or metal filter then water is added to the
reservoir. The heated water passes through the coffee in the filter, and fills
up the coffee pot waiting below. This is a great way to prepare an easy,
affordable, and quick cup of coffee. With this method you do not have a lot of
control over the process or the final taste. One way to make an auto drip cup of
coffee taste better is to use a metal filter. These filters, unlike paper
filters, do not filter out the essential coffee oils that make it taste so good.
Using a percolator is another way to brew a cup of coffee. In this method,
boiling water extracts the coffee. Many people like using a percolator because
it allows them to make large amounts of coffee at one time. However, care must
be taken when using a percolator, as allowing the coffee to sit for too long can
result in a bitter taste. For this reason, some choose other methods of brewing.
Finally, concentrated brewing is another form of brewing, although it is more
popular in Latin America than it is in the United States. For this method, very
little water is added when the coffee is first brewed. When a person would like
a cup of coffee, boiling water is added to the concentrated brew which delivers
a very mild and less acidic flavored coffee.
Hopefully, these tips have given you great ideas for brewing a fabulous cup of
coffee.
