Here I sit in my messy house…. I don’t want to clean or fold laundry or…. So I blog. (And listen to sweet Annika over the baby monitor “talk” in her sleep – she must be having a dream.) Tomorrow is the last day of school! They go for a whole hour… And then summer break commences… I can’t wait and I’m dreading it all at the same time. If you’re a mom, I’m sure you know what I mean. The pure joy that comes with the idea of perhaps sleeping in an extra 10 minutes – yet the sheer terror of contemplating how to possibly entertain them all day long.

Tomorrow is the big day we meet with Christian’s principal, teacher & reading teacher to figure out a plan for next year, followed by a meeting with the psychologist who will be following up on the testing he completed. It is the day we have to make an official decision about homeschooling him next year. I’m pretty sure that is what we have decided… but tomorrow the committment on paper comes.

But for now, in this moment… I enjoy the peace and quiet and think back on the happiness of today. Tomorrow is a new day – with new possibilities.
