Hello from Omaha, NE. Long day in the car!

We left around 10:00 a.m. from Estes Park. Hit up McD’s for breakfast (drive through as Annika was already snoozing). Had lunch at Subway around 2:30 p.m., Dinner in Omaha at 9:00 p.m. – McD’s again! We didn’t hit McD’s too much on vacation, but gave them our business today!

We switched back to Central time today. The kids were in bed about 10:30 p.m. I’m curious to see what time they wake up in the morning. They seem to have been switching between time zones quite easily, so that has been good.

One of our counselors that is on the charter bus – which is driving straight home – left her purse at Hardees in Omaha. She called and they had it. The original bus driver got out at Omaha and a new one got on. So the old one picked up the purse at Hardees and took it to his hotel. Then we stopped at the hotel and picked it up. She was so thankful we were behind the bus by a few hours!

Tomorrow we have another LONG day in the car, but then we will be home! What a fun month it has been!
