Heart Touching

Wow, I am a mess tonight.  I often read blogs on the weekend – as a way to relax and catch up with my online friends (and some local friends) lives.  Tonight, I was reading one of my favorite my favorite blog, and I couldn’t help but be touched.  You see, Jennifer is currently in Kenya with Compassion International.  I have heard lots about Compassion, but friends, you need to go read this, to really put life in perspective.  I shared this with my kids tonight… They certainly don’t grasp the entirety of it, but it got their little minds thinking and hopefully will help them be grateful for what they have (for at least a day).  I think a Compassion Child may be joining our family soon.

Then, as if all that wasn’t enough to pull on my heart strings, one of my dear friends posted this video on Facebook.

That goes completely with my goal of being purposeful this year.

With an extremely grateful heart…

Wow, that made me cry, just like the song “Turn around” that my dad wanted played at my wedding. I cry everytime they hit a new milestone in maturing, and praise the Lord everyday that I am blessed to be a stay at home mom, and to work in the cafeteria two days a week to mother and hug my babies mid day in the school day(they are still young enough to shine when mommy comes by).
