Cookies? Who For?
Yesterday I was in the mood for nice warm gooey cookies fresh out of the oven… The boys were playing nicely, so I decided to whip up a batch. As the aroma filled the house, of course the boys found their way to the kitchen to see what was going on. First question, Who’s Coming Over? Me, “no one”. Next, “Where are we taking those?” Me, “No Where…” Then why are you making cookies? You see, as a pastor’s wife I end up baking quite often but generally it is because we have company coming over, or we have to take food somewhere. Honestly, I don’t bake all that often just for our family as frankly… I have a huge sweet tooth and if it’s in the house I’ll eat it… (which I do not at all need) The kids reactions made me realize that perhaps I should make them treats a bit more often. Of course… the cookies are just about gone now (I made less than 2 dozen)
The boys go back to school tomorrow – vacation flew by! Have a great week!

My children love it when I bake. They are trained to come into the kitchen as soo as they hear my kitchenaid mixer running. Once things come out of the oven, they are gobbled up pretty quickly.
