Susanne, “The Hillbilly Housewife” and I have been online friends for…  gosh, I don’t know I think well over 4 years.  We “met” over at Mom Masterminds back in the day.  Which, I am totally going off on a tangent here… But if you are interested in working online, but you’re just not sure where to start…  You need to try a Mom Masterminds Membership!  This is where I got started and learned soooo much!  (Click on the Join MM link at the top) It’s a great place to learn some basics of working online. 

So anyway.. Susanne (Pronounced Susanna) and I have gone through pregnancies & losses & family stress together (oh and some business too!) – online – via email and instant messenger.  We are true friends (& business partners)… But we had never met! 

At any rate…  One of the main reasons I attended the Type A Mom Conference in Sept. in Asheville, NC was to meet Susanne!  She lives in SC, and we had been talking for so long about meeting in person – that it was just time!  And I must say, she was such a joy to meet! 

We had a table together at the Type A Mom Conference Mom Market.  So here we are!

I can’t wait for the day when we get to hang out again!

We made it home from North Carolina last Tuesday evening (as in over a week ago) after going to the Great Wolf Lodge (fun times – wish we could have stayed longer)

Fun in the Water 

Concord Mills Mall – Concord, NC.  This is a huge mall that included outlet stores & regular stores & a NASCAR theme park – strange BUSY place!

Lowe’s Motor Speedway.  Matt & the boys went on a ride at high speeds in a van around the track.  Annika & I stayed back & watched from the stands.

If only that was real!

I had no idea you could just walk into the stand and try out any seat you want!  There were actually cars going around the track too – for some kind of private business event. 

Obviously we tried our fair share of seats. 

On the way home we went through Virginia (beautiful!)  West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana & of course to our house in IL – which is just a few miles off the IN border.  So in this trip we covered the above states as well as TN on the way down.  We hadn’t ever been that far East/South.  It is always fun to visit new states! I knew we were in the south when of course you hear the accent, are constantly served sweet tea, & the kids say “Yes ma’am or sir.” 

Fun trip!  Sorry it took a week for the final installment – as we all know.. I got home & had to return to reality!
