Sour Cream Banana Bread

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

I have never made banana bread with sour cream before – but tonight I happened to have both bananas and sour cream that needed to be used up. I had came across this recipe recommended by a friend earlier in the week, so I decided to try it. Everyone liked it, so here it is!

Spring C’mon!

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

I am so excited that there is only about 1 more month of winter looming over us. I tell ya, this winter has felt like an eternity to me for some reason. I don’t know if it is the post-partum funk on top of the weather or what, but I am soooooo ready for spring! It was so fun to start planning some Easter articles for you today, and to shop for my little princess’ Easter dress last week. Just little glimpses of what is hopefully on the way SOON! How about you? Ready for spring?

Things are going pretty good here. We have been staying fairly healthy (knock on wood) except for little coughs here and there, but nothing too major. Annika had a cold for a good month, was better for 3 days, and then got stuffy again. That was kind of a bummer, but I’ll take little colds over the stomache flu that has been going around school anyday. I just keep praying the boys don’t bring that home! I make them wash their hands lots!

I have been looking into adding Homemade Gourmet Products to my offerings. Are any of you familiar with their products? What do you think? I have tried a few and enjoyed them. They have a great program where you as a customer can get a monthly pack of products and a menu & shopping list with it. Most of all, I like their company philosophy, which is to bring families back to the dinner table by providing products and services that help create great-tasting food – FAST! Let me know your thoughts!

Quick Quiz

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

Quick Quiz…. If you are only going to buy a few produce items organic, which ones should they be?

Peaches, Apples, Strawberries, Celery, Lettuce and Bell Peppers seem to be the items that contain the most pesticides when tested. These are pesticides that can’t be washed off… so you end up eating them! So if you can find these items organic, that is best!

Interesting Marketing Strategy

Monday, February 9th, 2009

I thought this was an interesting post! http://bargainbriana.com/2009/02/weird-marketing-free-ice-cream-with-lean-cuisine-purchase/ Anyone get that coupon? Sad thing is I would probably use it! LOL The ice cream is for the kids RIGHT? What is your thoughts – why would they put those two together?
