I’ve not ever used a Le Creuset Pot, but they look really nice and very expensive.

Christine, I bought the Le Creuset 6 qt stock pot last year and I LOVE it! You can use it on the stovetop to saute veggies or brown a roast and then pop the lid on it and stick it in the oven to finish cooking. It’s great for soups, stews, pasta sauces and even roast chicken. I even make gumbo in mine. Because it’s cast iron it’s perfect for browning. Now this pot is heavy, so you’ll want to be sure you can store it somewhere that’s easy to get to. I bought the pretty blue one, so I just leave it out on my stovetop when it’s not in use.

I’ve invited the family round this xmas for a traditional dinner, so the roast is pretty central to that.. I found an archive of ideas at this roast recipe site, but cant seem to decide on anyone in particular – there’s so many to choose from! It’s fun planning such a big xmas meal though!
