Okay, I know things could be WAY worse, so I probably shouldn’t complain. However, I’m going to because it’s my blog and I can. LOL So here’s the scoop - first hubby comes down with this weird rash I have never seen before. He finally goes to the Dr. and it turns out it is Poison Ivy. We have never had that before, so we weren’t able to identify it at first, but it sure made him miserable! He ended up with a shot at the Dr. and then a 5 day antibiotic treatment, but he still can’t sleep very well from all the itching.
Then Saturday I ended up getting sun-burned at the football game. Sunburns in general are miserable, but I know from history that if my lips get sunburned I end up with cold sores / fever blisters almost every time. So as predicted Tuesday they started popping out and now I have 6! My bottom lip is covered and my top lip has one big one. For anyone else who gets those you know how miserable they are. All the glands in my OB appointment yesterday pleading for relief, but all she said is Carmex (which I know doesn’t work for me). So then I got home and called my dentist who had mentioned a prescription is available, but go figure it is pill form and not safe for pregnancy. So I am stuck with my Abreva and suffering through I guess. If anyone knows of good relief let me know! On top of that this little girl of mine in my belly does not care to turn head down. I go in for an ultrasound this afternoon to see exactly how she is lying and then back to the doctor on Friday to try to determine an action plan. I really want to avoid a c-section, so if you could send your prayers that she turns that would be great!
Finally, I think the boys are coming down with colds - which doesn’t surprise me - they have been in school for 3 1/2 weeks now and fall is setting in - it’s bound to happen.
So there you have it, I’m one miserable, tired, pregnant momma / business owner and yup, I’m normal just like you!
And yes, I know these are just minor bumps in life and we could have it so much worse - we most certainly are counting our blessings as well.
Take Care!
