Slaving Away

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

I thought I would pop in to write a quick personal note. I have been slaving away the last couple days as I work to update the entire website into the new format. I can’t wait until it is done! I have wanted to update the site for almost a year now and it is FINALLY happening. Soon it will all match this blog template… if all goes well - the goal is by Thursday.

For those of you who are on my free newsletter list - remember to confirm your membership for the new list as we transfer our server. If you missed your e-mail regardig the entire issue, as soon as the new design is up you can also just pop your name into the form on the right on the new home page. If you aren’t on the free list -do join! You receive a free e-book “Menu Planning For Today’s Busy Family” just for signing-up. (not to mention the other fun things I have in store!)

Nothing too exciting has been happening around here. Our 3 year old had a bit of a crash Sunday evening. He was spinning around and around in circles like kids do and fell and hit his head on a dining room chair. He came crying to me so I picked him up to cuddle and pretty soon noticed that my neck was all wet. Sure enough blood was pouring out of his head. It was actually a pretty small little cut - about 1/4″ and didn’t need stitches, but it bled pretty good. Go figure we were both wearing new shirts too. Such is life - he is fine now. He seems to be our accident prone kid for some reason. I guess with 3 boys, having one accident prone isn’t too bad. I’m sure by the time they are grown we will have our share of broken bones and stitches. I hope not, but we’ll see! So far 7 years of parenthood and no stitches! (knock on wood) For those of you who have known me for awhile know about the broken leg fiasco last year - with of course… our accident prone child who was 2 at the time. I never wish that upon anyone! That was a LONG 8 weeks!

Well, I better keep plugging along here while the kiddo’s are sleeping and I can actually think.

We Love Comments!

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

For those of you who are new to blogs… or maybe just quiet when you read blogs…. We want to hear from you! The funnest part about blogs is that they are interactive! I can write a post, and then everyone can comment back and forth in the comments area. To leave a comment all you have to do is scroll down to the end of the message you are reading ad it will either say no comments or comments. Click on that and leave your thoughts - simple as that! You can also read the comments that others have posted. Lots of fun! Give it a try.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the new Dine Without Whine Blog. With the new site re-design, (What do you think?) we are changing a few other things around as well. I will now be posting my personal notes and articles here for you to enjoy. This will make it easier to compile my thoughts for both the free and paid newsletter. If you still want to receive my personal notes via e-mail.. no problem! Just sign-up on the left where it says to receive an e-mail each time this blog is updated. That will send you an e-mail every time I place an entry on the blog. Then for those of you who use RSS Feeders you can do that, or if you prefer, you can just bookmark the site and visit often. I recommend either using the RSS Feed or E-mail updates so you don’t miss anything fun or important. Enjoy the new format!
